WOMEX 2008 - Musica PT will attend the 2008 edition of Womex with the biggest representation of Portugal ever.

MUSICA PT will stay in Hall2 with 2 pavillion (4 stands each), where will be directly exposed 10 companies and supported all the APMP associates. Also every portuguese representatives can find different levels of support at the portuguese pavillions - P14:R15/S14:T15.

CAMANÉ - The truth about Fado! The true sense of emotion!
Both the audience and the press presently consider Camané the most impressive
performer in this musical area. His voice, the way he sings, his attitude towards the rhythm of Fado is unique. Considering that Fado is a tradition passed on orally, Camané has become aware of the tremendous importance of its legacy, persisting in the diffusion of the traditional repertory of Fado and privileging the words of both classic and contemporary Portuguese poets.

ENEIDA MARTA - Born in Guinea-Bissau, Eneida Marta moved to Portugal at an early age where she was surrounded by the multiple musical possibilities of the Lusophonic traditions. Her father's Cape Verde background heightened her love for the island's mornas and coladeiras.
Together with the gumbe and tina music of the land of her birth, these are the foundation of her fresh and exciting contemporary Afropean mix.
Cutting her young teeth in song contests and competitions, her talent led to the highly creative collaboration with producer and composer Juca Delgado resulting in three albums, the most recent of which, Lope Kai, was her first international solo release. Singing in a range of languages, she is ably supported on stage by her multitalented pocket orchestra who follow her swinging lusophonia with great groove.
